Personnel was informative.. only i was told to file an old w-2 from 2012.. i only earned 1,000that year of income.. H&r block told me that i dont have to file if under 10,000.00.. some one also worked under my information through that year, and them days.. I went to prison for 7 years afterwards.. an outstanding of 7,000 is owed.. what a life¡¡! 3 years with no returns, still... i keep getting letter every 2 months.. saying that they need another 60 days to keep investigating.. its been 3 letters already..wow.. 😤

They never answer the phone!! They give you a number to set up an appointment for the office but the operator always says "Due to the high call volume we cannot accept your call, call back another day" YET IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME THING. I have been trying to set up a payment plan on my bill for many many months and no one ever knows what is going on so now I am getting a letter say I AM NON COMPLIANT. Are you freaking KIDDING ME.

I have been to the office only 2x. The first was a good experience. The gentleman did in fact help me and was super informative. This is not about him. The second time was painfully terrible. I was helped by a woman, who I heard repeatedly telling the person before helping me, that she could not and would not help. (That it wasn't her job to help someone fill out the forms. Nor add for them.) My mother has been to the office more than 6x for multiple reasons and questions for her own taxes, my both other sisters. She also expressed to me that the same lady always treats people very poorly as if they are stupid. She refuses to help and has an unprofessional attitude, condescending personality towards every single person. Except the receptionist. I would make the extra effort and go to Downtown Phoenix and wait to be called on than make an appointment. Because someone might help you. At this office, there is a 50% chance you'll get the gentleman. They are the only 2 there. Thank Ms. C for not helping me. Or bothering to do your job. Or at the very least be polite. Just awful. 0 STARS for this piss poor services. Except the gentleman.

The place is very helpful and informative. They are pretty understanding and patient. They made a world of difference for my tax needs. However, you MUST make an appointment for a lot of their services. If you don't have one they will refuse to help you, and just tell you to make an appointment. You cannot just come in and expect to be seen. You can't even make an appointment here, you have to call.

ADDITION: I went back for another appointment and when I argued that I could not make the payments they wanted from me, he looked at my savings account (which is less than half of what I owe) and said since I had money there, I had no other options. He didn’t even look at my source of income or any of my pay stubs. Not sure how it’s legal to not even look through proof of income and automatically tell someone they HAVE to make payments. I’ll be figuring out how to launch a formal complaint and I’ll be following up. INITIAL POST: Made an appointment months ago and when I got there I asked for a specific worker (she previously told me to ask for her). I was rudely told that she wasn’t there even though she was, and I saw her in the lobby less than 5 minutes prior. The man at the counter was extremely rude to me and offered literally no help. Trying to schedule here has been such a massive inconvenience.

I had no idea what to expect and left there feeling much better about my situation. Do I really have to give this place a star? This is by far the worst government building I have ever been to. They treat you like garbage and as if you are unworthy of their help. The only decent person there was the security guard. The woman at the front desk was unbelievable; she was very rude and would continuously interrupt me. She acted as if she was above everyone else. This place is terrible and needs new people who have better personalities and have compassion for others. I wish I could give this place -5 stars.

I went to this office to pick up paperwork. There was a wait but what government office doesn't have a wait. Discovered I had been hacked while here and they were incredibly helpful in getting the fraud case started. They were efficient. Not incredibly friendly until I cracked a couple jokes. Sometimes all you have to do is understand they are doing a job, and a mostly thankless one. So make em smile and be polite. That's all it takes. You are there because you need something only they can give you. They are there to help.

Absolutely the most horrendous treatment from staff I have ever encountered. There has been 1 person there that seems to have a soul. All I have been trying to do is to have them take $ from my account every month and they STILL mess that up. Just returned from a meeting with the IRS. I was ten minutes early, but they took me right in. I explained my case to Miss Vaughn who immediately understood. She conferred with a colleague to confirm what she thought was the best fix and took immediate action to reconcile the issue. I wish I could give less than one star. I've been calling daily for the last 3 months... Only for my call to be disconnected due to high call volume, it's unbelievable. All I want to know is if the payment plan we set up went through! We received some sort of confirmation notice in the mail, yet no funds were taken out when they were suppose to. I don't understand how we are suppose to avoid fines and penalties when they purposely mishandle this type of information ... I guess it must be greed. This is the lowest of the lowest of the businesses that I have had to deal with, when the phone calls are purposefully disconnected is beyond frustrating leading me to cry at times won anger. I hope you get your crap together IRS, you a horrible establishment... Your crappy customer service follows from your 1-800 number to your less than helpful offices.

The worst ever experience in a government office I had to encounter. I went on a Friday at 2:30 PM assuming that the crowd will be less. There was a small line outside with 3 people on front of me. I waited for 20 mins and the lady let 3 people in front of me, but said she can't do ITIN today since it too late. Seriously lady, there is about 1.5 - 2 hours more for the day and there are only about 5-6 people waiting and you can't take anymore?? I went again on Tuesday, there was a long line of 25 people in front of me. I waited for 2.5 hours and finally got my chance. I go in there and she says that I have to get the tax document signed from my wife and she can't certify my mom's passport. I asked what does my mom's passport attestation have to do with my wife signing the tax return. I begged her to certify the passport (I had my mom as well available physically all the time) and I will send the document through certified mail. She refused and said come another day. Please find another IRS office if possible.

There staff needs to be replaced, I was on hold for an hour only to get my call picked up and hang up on. I called the next day and called them 15 times and every time I went through and was put on hold my call was picked up with an immediate hang up. The IRS needs to get it together no wonder there's always stories of millions being lost. When I went to the location and asked if I can speak with the manager the guy at the front desk looked at me as if I was speaking another language and simply told me "I.. I.. I can't." When I asked why he gave me no reason, just a confused look as If the thought was too much to comprehend. This FOLKS is IRS quality service at its best. The short jewish guy with the glasses needs to be the first one out.

very rude front desk lady!!! Seems this person still living from medieval age. Very bad attitude, and will always cut you while you are talking. Very disappointed IRS hire this type of person. If you cannot rid of her, I suggest to let her train for proper customer service. We pay are taxes to get poor customer service? The guard had us get in line only to find out after being line for 10 minutes that they are no longer seeing anyone that day. It was 11:45 am. If this was a private company, this office would have closed shortly after it opened.
