I couldn't reach them by phone. Kept hanging up on me. Show up in person and Security guard was rude. Telling me by appointment only. She then turned to lady who was waiting on her appt and asked her how'd you get your appt. She said just keep calling until a person picks up. She said it did taking her 3 days of auto calling constantly. The security guard then gave me a different # to call. I dialed in front of her just to get recording try back later. My daughter was with me just had to show proof of name change, address change. We finally got person on phone who informed us she needed to mail them originals. My problem I hadn't filed taxes in years they needed more documentation which I had with me. Neither of us were helped after driving 40 miles to go there.

I walked through the door and was attended to by a security guard apparently Chinese who didn't speak basic English, suddenly a screaming voice came up without me seeing the person shouting if I had scheduled my visit, I said I wanted to make an installment plan, just him screaming, he said wur I couldn't be there without an appointment and made me leave screaming, this gentleman needs to be arrested for being crazy and rude! After waiting almost an hour today my number was called. My rep was an older Spanish woman. She was very frazzled and annoyed. As I was explaining my situation she told me to be quiet and let her speak. She raised her voice some and said we need to hurry because she wants to go to lunch. I was a bit shocked at how obnoxiously rude she was. I was only in her cubicle for less than 3 minutes by the way. I understand that her job may be stressful but that is no way to treat people. I wasn't the only one she treated rudely. A woman walked into her cubicle with a box and said that it was for so and so. The rep raised her voice and said " Well I guess you're telling me and not asking me to give them this!?"The woman was surprised at how the rep spoke to her and quickly explained that she was just leaving the box for so and so. If I am able to make a formal complaint I will.

I made an appointment via the IRS phone number stating my issues. The scheduler asked me to take my return and other documentation with me. They scheduled me for the Melbourne office. Immediately, Jensey Fernandez, went over the letter I received without asking me what the issue(s) were. After he finished, I explained my issues. He was unable to help me except for handing out forms to complete. I wonder what the IRS office is Melbourne is for? Is it like the bank monitor I see in the commercials? Recommend an audit on whether this office is needed; as a taxpayer, my opinion is no!

My 80 year old parents had their military retirement and social security tax forms returned to sender by Melbourne, FL post office. They went to IRS Melbourne office to get copies accompanied by my sister to assist. The IRS representive spent 5 minutes rudely telling them: - she wouldn’t talk with my sister even though my mom said she could. - told my mom abruptly she needed to make an appointment. My sister told her that they tried to make appt but the recording at 10am said the IRS was closed - my sister asked for an appt in the next 2 business days while she was still in town and was told none were available How can my parents do their tax return if the post office returns their tax statements and the rude IRS chooses to spend 5 minutes being rude instead of using that time to print out the documents. Why are these type people on the Federal payroll? Who is supervising these operations? The government offices in our city/state don’t behave this way, how does Melbourne federal government get away with unfriendly, rude and people unwilling to do their jobs to help the public? Suggest a shake up to fix.

They let me in as there last person at 3:52pm, (based on my specified needs at the time.) warned that if they didn't get to me by 4:30pm I was waiting for nothing and would not be helped today....I got lucky, helped me at 4:25 took about 4 mins for me to confim identity, the reps seem like good people. It just the system..., they short staff them and make this a pain in the ass for everyone. Thankfully it looks like there hrs of operation are now here on google.... Wasn't even on there phone systems only on the building.

I was in their parking lot not too long ago on the south side where no one ever parks playing ingress(it's like pokemon go but it's not stupid...lol). When this lady drives up to my car and flashes her IRS badge and says that if I don't leave she's calling the cops because I have no reason to be there. I said whatever call them and left after I did my portal hacking she drove away. It turns out that this 50-60 year old disabled lady plays ingress too and used her government issued badge to try to get me away from her portal. THEY OUGHT TO ASHAMED! A couple of million dollars spent on the Melbourne facility on Wickham RD. but when you enter it is chaos! What moron designed this building or use of space where you sit in the hallway in two lines of chairs blocking the entire wall where the IRS forms are. The employees have little open cubicles where everyone can hear your tax matters. If you want a form you have to stick your butt in the face of someone sitting in a chair waiting to be called by number. It looks like two thirds of this huge building is used for nothing but staff! Your tax dollars at work! Instead of having a series of private cubicles like they do at your doctor's office and a decent waiting room designed for the comfort of their CUSTOMERS/BOSSES it is one big jumble of people standing or sitting in one tiny little space. They even had to hire a private security firm to keep watch over all of these tax paying citizens waiting to be SERVED and hoping for service before they die. One look or experience there and you will wish for a FLAT FEDERAL tax on purchases so we can rid ourselves of these IRS lackys.
