Despite all of the complaints on this review blog, I seemed to have no problem. I called the phone number given to make an appointment. The gentleman I spoke with asked questions about why I needed an in-person visit, and after I explained the issues he agreed with me on this need and assisted with me in making an appointment. A few days before the appointment I received a reminder notice, along with some specific requests about what I needed to bring with me, including those associated with Covid protocols. When I arrived, the security person went through a screening process (somewhat similar to going through the TSA at the airport), but there were no problems. He had me take a seat, all of which were socially distanced. I was called into a cubicle about 20 minutes after the appointment time. While that was "late", it wasn't excessive, and I kind of expected that I would be waiting for a bit after the appointed time, based on other reviews. So again, no problem. I met with a Mr Munoz who treated me with the utmost respect and took my issues seriously. It turned out that one of the two issues I brought up were "out of scope", meaning he was not authorized to make an adjustment to my tax return even though he understood (and seemed to agree with) my point. (And this was determined only after he checked with a supervisor.) While that may upset some people, I understood his dilemma as I work with the AARP Tax-Aide program that provides tax return prep services for seniors who can't do it anymore and can't afford a commercial service like H&R Block. AARP is also limited to mostly common tax situations - there are many unusual situations that are "out of scope" for us. Mr Munoz did provide me with a phone number to call to help get this issue resolved. (He couldn't guarantee that I would not be on hold on the phone for a long time - was being honest.) Mr Munoz took care of the other issue for me as best he could, but advised me to get the following year's tax return submitted ASAP to prevent the issue from backsliding to the way things were before my visit. The appointment lasted about 50 minutes, much of which Mr Munoz was trying to resolve the first issue until he was told that he didn't have the authority. Appreciate the fact that he tried hard to get it done for me.

Luckily I read the reviews before going to the office. I just wanted my PIN for taxes. Although I called for an appointment, the gentleman was very helpful in explaining the PIN and the fact that we actually don’t have one yet. We don’t need one since we mailed in our taxes. I wish I knew his name or number because he was so helpful! For those that need help, just keep calling til you get through and maybe have some common courtesy and you’ll get some help!

Had an appointment, but they cancelled the day before even though I made the appointment 3 weeks before. Very inconvenient to deal with as I was busy and moved plans around it. Why are they scheduling an office that is in fact closed? The only good thing was that the number they gave to reschedule only had a 5-10 minute hold and that person was friendly. But, even though it was their mistake, I now have to wait an additional 2 1/2 weeks to get in at a different facility way further away.

I made an appointment (you MUST have an appointment) and, despite all the negative reviews, went to the IRS office with an open mind. An appointment consists of standing at the front counter to conduct business; there is no privacy. The people working at this office are incredibly rude. More importantly, they do not know what they are doing. I asked for an explanation, stated I did not understand, asked explicitly what I needed to do in order to take care of my situation. They could not answer me and then tossed some forms at me. I finally asked for, and they reluctantly gave me, their supervisor's phone number. Mine was a complicated situation and, while I did not like the answer the supervisor provided, she was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. I recommend that you not take any answers these people have as fact; get the supervisor's number and CALL! I give this office a negative star (I had to click on a star to be able to post; unfortunately, they don't provide negatives). It's the worst public service provider I have ever dealt with.

Wellcome to the Hell This is a call like impossible mission. All you have to do is to give them money and forms, and go home. But in this case you dealing with very rude people, people that don't care at all about anything, witch i been witness. I came in office to pay the bill early in a morning 8:15am. They do open in 8:30am, so i thought i can finish early. They did open in 8:35am and i did try to talk with African American lady there. She didn't even want to talk with me without appointment , so i try to ask few question what i have to do next. Instead of that i hit a brick wall, and words you can do anything here you need appointment. i said i understand can i ask something at least, it was no one in office just me. She didn't want to talk at all, even look in my eyes. In that moment i told her , "This is a reason why this office has the WORST review ever", imagine what answer i got from her: " YOU KNOW THAT WE DON'T CARE" I can say only one thing, now i know why this state even going down, why is so many bad people and officials working on places like this, i can't wait to move from this state and this people and this taxes.

I went there to get info on a past return that I couldn't find and that was during the last government shutdown, I got lucky since print-outs were going to be processed online. They were very courteous and helpful. Also we had another interaction with this office during my son's deployment. He was a victim of identity theft and his wages were being garnished, so I was authorized to represent him when he had to go back. They worked with us and were able to get to the bottom of this, and money that had been garnished from his wages was refunded back to my son. Based on the bad reviews I see here, I guess there is another personnel in place.

first you chedule an appointment a month a head!... once you get to the office they make you wait 1hr and then call you. Once they call you they tell you that your appointment has been all of a sudden cancelled!. Very rude staff and not helpful ..mind you ..my tax dollars pays their salaries. IRS is a joke, they owe you money and don’t want to pay back. If you owe them money ..oh they’ll even charge you all the interest they can and must pay quickly.

Apparently there is a sign in the office stating that all business is to require an appointment. Make sure you make an APPOINTMENT before wasting your time going there. Thankfully it wasn't busy and she was able to help me quickly, but heads up appointment required.

Spoke with the front desk employee and asked him if I could get a transcript of my earnings for 2013. He said yes. Waited in line for 30 minutes, my number was called and then I went in to see the clerk at her desk who was supposed to print my transcripts. Got about five words out. Me: "I would like to have my..." The clerk: "I am not required to print those for you." Me:"Umm...what do you mean you are not required to print them?" Death and Taxes, ha, never thought they went so well hand in hand. This place is rude, self serving, arrogant and at their government base salary (ur tax dollars at work) have the literal balls to treat us like peasants from the middle ages.
